Oldies Radio From The Twilight Zone
This one is from Neil's 'lost period' in the 1980's where he seemed to be trying on different artistic identities like new suits. One he tried on was neo-greaser rockabilly/doo-wop crooner. And in retrospect this worked out pretty well for him, even if nobody was listening at the time. This is the music he grew up with, after all. On this particular I'm-so-lonesome-I-could-just-throw-myself-into-the-abyss tune, Neil acquits himself particularly well. His cracked warble suits the lyric even adds a note of vulnerability that the smoother vocalists of the 50's often lacked. Throw in skittering drums and guitar, great background singing and an echoey production and you could be fooled into thinking that you found some great lost nugget from the old days.

Yesterday I was listening to oldies, I heard a song by Buffalo Springfield called Highway to the Danger Zone. I loved the song and would like to get a copy of the words and the album that it is on. Anyone out there know of this song?
